As a public institution, Kaskaskia College is accountable for the effective use of all College facilities and real estate including the main campus and all off-campus locations. These resources are the property of the College as a whole and are not considered “owned” by specific departments and/or programs.
To ensure the effective use of College property, the Space Management Advisory Committee (SMAC) has been created to include representation from Administrative Services, Student Services, and Instructional Services.It is the responsibility of SMAC to evaluate all space requests and make space recommendations based on the College’s educational mission and institutional plan.
Final approval of recommendations is made by the Vice President of Administrative Services to include concurrence by the College President.
